Full coverage without the weight, thanks to the power of pigments

"In the past, high coverage always meant heaviness. But today, it’s the pigments that provide coverage, not the formula itself," says Carine Latchet. A quality foundation must therefore have a good balance when it comes to thickness.

There are three essential pigments in the composition of a foundation: first, the red pigment ensures a fresh complexion and provides a natural look.

Next, the yellow pigment replaces the effect of melanin and colors the blend to adapt to all skin tones.

Finally, it is the black pigment that modulates the intensity of the coverage.

How to properly apply full-coverage foundation?

A high-coverage foundation can be applied to the entire face or only for local correction. Depending on our desired result, the tools and application methods differ.

To obtain a flawless and uniform complexion, we prefer flat sponges, which allow for the deposit of maximum product. Conversely, our fingers—used to tap the product in—are our best allies for hiding imperfections in a targeted area.

Don't neglect makeup removal

"Skin prone to imperfections is sensitive skin, so it should not be harshly treated with unsuitable products.
